Kids Smoking Risk Related to R-Rated Movies?

In Massachusetts, there was a study done on 1200 kids. Researches were trying to determine if children that are able to watch R-rated movies are more likely to smoke than those that are not. Even though it seems that those kids that watched the R-rated movies are more prone to smoke they can’t say for sure that it’s because of the movies themselves. Other factors come into play like if they had access to cigarettes, or if smoking was allowed in the home. It seems that parents need to pay a bit more attention to what their kids are watching and who they spend there time with. Parents may want to talk with their children about the effects of smoking as well.
