Gay Marriage and Children

There is a proposition up for voting on in California to ban gay marriage. Many think it will hurt our children, teaching them them that being gay is ok. Personally I don’t see the harm in it. I know a few gay parents who are some of the best parents out there and provide a loving caring home for their children. It doesn’t mean their children will become gay. It’s very sad that people seem to believe that someone who is gay cannot be an effective parent and provide a good home for a child. Maybe those who are against it just need more education on the idea and realize that they are part of our culture and should be respected just like any straight parent.
