Drinking With Your Kids

I read in this article about a law in Wisconsin that allows kids under 21 who are with their parents in a bar can be served alcohol. I am curious as to what kind of message this gives to children. It doesn’t seem appropriate. Of course it is up to the discretion of the parents. Maybe if the family was at a restaurant having a meal it may be ok, but at a bar brings up the question of who is the sober driver? Ultimately    we hope we can trust parents to do their job and not put children in harm’s way.
